This project involves construction of two miles of paved pedestrian pathway, 8’ wide, adjacent to Sunnyside Drive. The work involves 10,340 cubic yards of excavation, culverts base rock and paving, milling of existing Sunnyside road surface with 4-inches of AC resurfacing. This is also a pilot project utilizing 63 solar powered light poles spaced at 150’ intervals along the pathway.

Excavation and embankment was performed by utilizing new GPS technology for grade control and the crew is trained in the use of GPS rovers and machine guidance on a new Cat D-6N dozer. This has allowed us to complete the excavation and embankment to finished subgrade without the use of traditional survey stakes, saving time and money on surveying while increasing overall productivity.
