An existing 18 ft. diameter multi-plate culvert failed closing the main access road to parts of the southern end of the Warm Springs Reservation. We contracted to oversee the design and installation of a new 25 ft. diameter open bottom multi-plate pipe arch culvert. The design was contracted to Anderson Perry & Associates, who later provided survey and construction management services.

To begin construction the Seekseequa Creek was diverted to allow for removal and recycling of the failed culvert. The stream channel was widened to accommodate the larger culvert and stream enhancements were added downstream from the culvert location. Precast concrete footings were utilized to provide the support for the mutli-plate culvert installation. Once completed and backfilled, the project was topped with a layer of aggregate to open the road back up to the Tribal Members.
